Why June Sky exists

June Sky was founded on a simple frustration: that “clean beauty” had become a vague and overused promise. Every brand claimed to be natural. Every ingredient list came with small print. And yet the products that actually worked — visibly, reliably — were still full of ingredients you’d need a chemistry degree to understand.

We wanted something different. Skincare that is genuinely natural by an independently verifiable standard, genuinely effective by the evidence of your own skin, and honest about what it contains and where it comes from.

The peach

The search for that standard led us to an unlikely hero: the peach.

The peach is one of nature’s most generous skincare ingredients. It produces a deeply nourishing kernel oil rich in oleic and linoleic acids. Its water — extracted during processing — is packed with natural sugars and conditioning compounds. Its extract brightens and soothes. Its skin-derived phytosterols mimic the lipid structure of our own skin barrier.

And here’s what makes it extraordinary for us: most of these ingredients are by-products. The peach industry produces vast quantities of peach water, peach kernel oil, and peach extract as waste. We recover them, purify them, and put them to work in our formulas.

The formulas

Every June Sky product is formulated to COSMOS Natural standards and manufactured at our partner facility in Poznań, Poland. COSMOS is the international certification body for natural and organic cosmetics — it governs the origin and processing of every ingredient, the production environment, and the finished product. When you see COSMOS on a June Sky label, it means exactly what it says.

Our formulas were developed through extensive testing, including a consumer test panel and dermatological assessment. We don’t make claims we can’t support.

The packaging

We package every June Sky product in glass. Not because it’s fashionable, but because glass is the right material: fully recyclable, infinitely reusable, and free from the plasticisers and endocrine disruptors that can leach from plastic into product and skin over time.

Our glass is sourced from CALASO. Our outer cartons are FSC-certified paper, produced by Bold Fold. Every material decision is deliberate.

The name

June is the month of peach blossom and long evenings. Sky is what you see when the air is clean. June Sky is what honest skincare feels like: uncomplicated, clear, and quietly effective.

We’re a small brand. We’re new. But we’re serious about what we do, and we’re not going anywhere.
